Few rosewood tables
of this period are quite
as exuberant in design
as this one.
This Gothic Revival
table enjoys all the
cluttered earmarks of
what twentieth-century
observers consider
‘Victorian’.
Top is white marble with
cookey corners is original to
the piece. Made by a skilled
cabinet maker, possibley in
the workshop of
Joseph Meeks & Sons
of New York.
It is one of the finest
pieces I cherished in my
collection.
