A New Discovery! A stunning Rosewood dresser by Robert Wrenwick Baltimore c.1855. retaining his rare stenciled label. The execution of the carved elements shows a masterful hand combining scrolled devices with foliated elements resulting in a flowing pattern of decoration. The choice imported rosewood and use of mahogany for the drawer linings is evidence that this piece was intended for a wealthy client. In excellent condition.
