This Stanton Hall Rosewood Parlor
Set was made by the Meeks firm in 1859
as a gift to Sophia Teresa, Joseph W.
Meeks daughter, on the occasion of her
marriage to Dexter Hawkins. Consisting
of a sofa, an armchair and two side chairs,
the set has descended through the Meeks
family. The suite, formerly exhibited in
the American Wing of the Metropolitan
Museum of Art is now in our collection
and available for sale.
